Ah, youth...
I was sitting outside on my porch because it's so nice and cool, and it's wonderful to be outside on summer nights... when all of a sudden I saw some boy, in his early teens I would guess, run by me at full speed. I was a bit confused at that, but I figured that he was probably late for something. Then I saw another boy run by at full speed... and that made me think that probably just some kids were playing around and one was trying to catch the other... then I saw two girls run by, almost as fast (though it was probably hard for them to run with those shoes on) and I heard them curse under their breath as they rushed past me. THEN I saw the lights of a police car, driving on the grass, and I figured out what was going on. They were running from the cops. And that almost made me laugh out-loud... Cause I can remember being in the same situation a couple of times when I was about their age... But I shall say no more.
Ah, but those days are over now. All I have to say is "THANK GOD!" :) Though PRE teen years I might want to go back to... :)
