Tonight was another night of volleyball with Annie and her friends. I seriously suck. People play in their positions and I am completely lost as in where I should be positioned. Plus, a lot of Japanese was being spoken. I had a "lost in translation" moment.
I really miss the leagues that I played in back in Toronto/Markham. It's not just the game, it's the people. There are major competitors here. Aussies take their sport seriously! I miss YOTOW on Monday nights. From YOTOW came the late night "snacks" (read: dinner or second dinner for some) at Noodle Star after our games filled with laughs and some competitiveness. From YOTOW came also board game nights.
Yes, as if it wasn't evident. I am seriously homesick now. It's reached that near six-month mark where I start comparing everything between Sydney and Toronto.
Perhaps, this just isn't the league for me. I hope the Corporate Games runs a bit more smoothly and a bit more relaxed.

On another note, I've been lacking in my updates. I just finished updating my last weekend in Sydney. Not my last week, but my last weekend!
Only put in point form what I did while back in Toronto. Haven't even mentioned my new year's eve in Sydney and the days afterwards in Melbourne. Then, there's this past week and weekend while Lil was here. I swear they've been action-packed. Hopefully the pictures show that.
I digress. I got a postcard from Leena yesterday and an e-mail from Tara. Both have said how much they have missed me and I, in turn, felt my heart sink a little and I missed them too. I miss the moments by Toogood Pond.
And this year, I'll miss Chinese New Year at home.
*sigh* I know. I have soooo many things to look forward to. But, tonight? I just felt lost in translation.
