Wow, it's already mid-March! I can't believe it.
Last I wrote, it was probably about 3 weeks ago.
First things first, I won a medal in the NSW Corporate Games Volleyball Tournament. First ever medal. WOO!
Saturday, March 8, 2008 - Saturn
Went to the observatory again. This time with Steven. We managed to see Saturn together. It was really amazing. Afterwards, we went to the very exclusive Sydney Cafe for a very late dinner. It had such a breathtaking view of the Sydney Harbour since it was located on top of the Customs House. I didn't even know this place existed. The food was delicious. I was so stuffed!
Sunday, March 9, 2008 - Cook off
Jaw and June came over for lunch. They finished all my food! I felt kind of bad that I ran out of food, because it was my intention that they'd have enough so they wouldn't have to cook for the week. Every time they tell me their schedule, I just can't imagine having to be on a medical student's hours. It's crazy! No wonder some doctors are unhealthy. It comes from the lack of hours to prepare proper meals.
Later in the afternoon, I met up with Steven to do some grocery shopping and then we watched "10,000 B.C." together. That was a pretty crap movie. I recommend people not to see it! I still kind of want to see "Definitely, maybe". I have to convince one of the girls to come watch it with me. Definitely chick flick.
Wednesday, March 12, 2008 - It goes up in flames
Yup, so as I was trying to get back into the office at around 9pm to call the UK office, I saw this. Rumours say it was a result of a disgruntled worker. Though, the news would report otherwise:
http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,23366711-5001021,00.html Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14 - The Bean Team!
Yay! I can't believe how awesome it feels to win the medal. I thought they were just talking crazy talk about winning the NSW corporate games. Good thing they weren't wrong about how well the team would do. We kicked butt! First medal ever.
Friday night, I also finally caved and ate McDonalds. It was so good to have a filet o fish. Steven has this really weird way of pronouncing it. It must be the frenchie in me! =)
Saturday, March 15, 2008 - Thai and midnight stroll
Steven and I ate dinner at Sussex Thai and then took a stroll around Darling Harbour. We sat by the pier and enjoyed the view by the harbourfront.
While this wasn't exactly, February 14, we were celebrating in spirit. To end the night, I gave him a Valentine's day card. It was a small gesture for how happy he has made me since we met. He was sincerely touched. It was good to know that for once, I didn't make a guy scream and run away from gestures like that.
Sunday, March 16, 2008 - Pork Loin Chops with mustard sauce
To tell you the truth, neither Steven or I can cook. However, we have this crazy notion that if we cook together, we might actually make something that tastes good. Plus, it helps to have a recipe book. I must admit, it tasted damn good. Thank you to Campbell. You are "mmm... good".
We also tried to watch "The Notebook" and went through all the hassle of getting a Blockbuster card. However, to our surprise, someone had snatched it from the store.
Monday, March 17, 2008 - And another one leaves....
One by one, they continue to leave. Tonight was Sarah's Hotpot send-off. Hotpot was decent, but I have to admit I miss having hotpot at that place by Market Village/Pacific Mall. You get your individual soup bowls. This one was as per usual, two different soup bases. No dipping sauce buffet. But, we gave Sarah what she wanted. A tearful good-bye... possibly caused by the spiciness of the soup.
