A Very Long Engagement
2004 movie. But I only watched it today. If I have to choose a movie for the year, I would choose this one. I LOVE it. I'm the minority but I love it more than Amelie.
I like the plot. I like the fact that the main story was a sad (fictional) epic of WWI but the tone was light and happy. Audrey Tautou in the show may be lame but she's surrounded by happy people, people who made the story light-hearted and lightened the otherwise very sad facts of WWI.
I am never a huge fan of war movies, or stories for that matter. But this show ... it rocked.
