Wake Up Call

Jun 11, 2007 09:03

This is definitely not the wake-up call I expected, never in a million years.

Actually I was already awake, no thanks to the 3 babies. I was in the bedroom, surfing the net when the doorbell rang. Huh? Who could it be, so early at 8am?

It was my neighbour, Grace (only knew her name just now) carrying a short-haired male Shih Tzu. "Is this yours?" she asked me. Errr, no, don't think so. If I'm not mistaken, my 3 are still in the house with me.

Anyway. She found the poor baby at the pool and upon bringing home, couldn't get her dog to get well with this one so she actually walked up (or down the steps) to find me (how did she know which level and which unit I am at?!). Which already touched me since she had to go to work and the security system here is such that we can only get to the level we are at. And she's definitely not staying at my level.

So, she asked if I could keep the dog for a while. And of course, I said yes.

The condition of the dog is horrible!! Although he spotted short fur, his body is full of matts. His hair around his face are everywhere!! His nails are not cut. Or perhaps he has been lost for a long time?

Yet, he's not shy at all. He's young and ever-so-friendly and wants to make friends with the 3 brats but they refused.

Now the poor baby is sleeping beside me. He's the colour of my 2 girls and has coat as thick as theirs. Not difficult to mistake he's one of my babies, actually.

Anyway, I don't know what to do but wait for R to come home. Tempted to bring him to a groomer and shave away all the matts.

Grace texted me thanking me for looking after the dog. When I told her he might be abandoned, and my intent on sending him to a groomer, she actually offered to pay for the grooming. Such a sweet person, yah? (actually I already knew she's nice and all that, because I saw her feeding stray cats too!).

I'm afraid to move now, because when I move, he's all stressed. He wants to befriend the brats but they're all running away from him. I'm lost too!

Adorable, right? He's actually thin. He's only so fluffy cos of the matts. Before and after trim.

3 brats all sticking together because they fear his over-zealousness.

Anyway, if anyone knows of anyone who has lost a Shih Tzu, or if anyone wants to adopt a friendly male Shih Tzu (I highly doubt anyone would come and claim him) you know who to look for.
