Patch-box or bonbonniére; soft-paste porcelain; moulded in form of owl's head with yellow and brown for the feathers, pink beak outlined in grey, orange and black eyes set with diamonds; rim painted with green leaves and interior painted with two pink flower sprays, a leaf and two cherries; mounted in gold and tortoise-shell, interior of cover; cover of gold plaque chased with relief scene of monkey in landscape clutching fruit in each upper limb; unmarked.
