The First Day of my Quarter Life

Jul 26, 2009 18:02

It's really funny how this day went by. Honestly, I almost forgot about it because of my busy schedule. I have more students than the usual now at work and I have to do a lot of things at school so I didn't know that this day was coming. Good thing, we have facebook!!!

Whenever I'm having my birthday, I usually wait for the rain. Actually I notice it just three years ago, that whenever it rains on my birthday, good things happen in my year. In 2007, it didn't rain but in 2008, it rained so I think last year was a good one for me although I still experienced few bad things, which I think, were blessings in disguise. But for this year, it didn't rain. It was so warm and it's warmer for me because I was wearing black the whole day. Anyway, I still want to think positively so nothing bad will happen.

I didn't have money during that day so I just kept quite about it. I treated Friday just like any other working day so I just focused to my classes. After work, I went to school because we were required to attend and perform for the Acquaintance party. We mostly seen dance performances from the other sections so I guess our class had the most unique number. We did an interpretation for the song " Isang Dugo, Isang Lahi, Isang Bansa", if I'm not mistaken. We just wore some Filipinana and Muslim costumes and did some hand movements. It wasn't really that good but I guess they liked it because it was the most formal among those performances.

We decided to go home around 5pm but some of my classmates invited me to join them in a bar. Well, it sort of annoyed me because I'm 7-8 years older than them but I still went there. It was just a small place in Sherwood near La Salle but I had a good time. There was this girl who danced really well on top of the table and even on top of the bar. I was really fascinated with how she's able to move smoothly while wearing high heels on top of the bar, which I think can absolutely kill me if I do it! Anyway, they had some sort of dare games but I honestly didn't enjoy it. I kinda experienced a culture shock though it's fun! They just didn't realize that I was silently celebrating my 25th birthday with them! Then, I decided to just go home right away because I felt tired of that busy day.
