Well, I had a comment screened in
shitty_advice as soon as I posted it. For those of you that don't know,
shitty_advice is a lulzy community where otherwise intelligent people go to act like gibbering happy-ass retards. You should try it sometime, really. At first, I thought the moderator
djmadadam had changed the community settings as a way of frustrating an anti-semitic troll by the username of
lucidpsychogod but that wasn't the case. In fact,
djmadadam himself was like
"wtf, guise?" as livejournl's own software had automatically screened my comment as "suspicious". The moderator had nothing to do with it. Presumably there is a word filter at work.
Here is the entry where my comment is screened. The comment went like this:
Well, stalking her is always a good thing to try. Women love a man with determination. And hey, it worked quite well for
this guy. You wouldn't want to scrap the drive and determination of a patriotic superhero, would you? That's just Communist!
djmadadam thinks my comment got screened because Russians own livejournal and the word "communist" was what set the filter off. But I tried testing the filter with that word again and
nothing happened. So I'm not really sure what set the filter off at the moment.
Anybody else heard stories of something similar?
