Kuala Lumpur. Journey goes on

Aug 08, 2010 22:44

Well…will still be opening and describing only overview of KL. It’s been 12 days when I stepped on Malaysia’s land….therefore I’m still an ordinary tourist. Though, I have no camera - will be trying to make U my eyes.

Marinated fruits VS. fresh ones. Well….just yesterday I tried couple of fruits (Mango and Mango smth)…well, If u r not afraid to puke after - go ahead. Out of the whole plastic box I ate one piece of Mango smth…hardly chewing I tried mango - fortunately trash was nearby…I spat out immediately. So, dear friends, really advise u not to buy anything marinated. Just fresh fruits - there some many options to choose! But in terms of extreme tourism - go trying marinated ones)

Birds exist. Finally, dear friends, I could observe birds in here). Until this day, I’ve been thinking birds are in big scarcity. But from now on I’m sure they do exist. Despite poor variety of birds (mostly sparrow and crows) there are some unique sub-types of carrion vultures in miniature. Being in size of one palm they have funny yellow claws, yellow neck and a stylish haircut, like in old kung fu master))

U r not as hot as u imagine. Well, one of the a-ha moments was when I found out that waiters and just people u want to call are called in the way like U distantly kiss someone). So, if crossing the street U will hear this sound - don’t consider urself sex-idol :P. Just now that smbd calls U)

Garbage is garbage. I thought, only Ukrainians are such misbehaving, in terms of cleanness, nation. Don’t be surprised, when U observe garbage around U and see people dropping stubs directly under theirs feet((

Being on the height of 335 m. Unfortunately, I’m still non-camera man, so can’t show U all the KL beauty from the top)) But, I’m amazed with the service they provide in there: Every visitor gets its own video player with headphones with Ur private virtual guide in your own language, which explains everything U can observe from all 12 observational windows around the dome. In addition to price - U r to visit either old Malaysian village or to play F1 simulator, visit animals’ residence and learn some basics in alpinism.

David Beckham’s brother. Well, I’m celebrity since yesterday. LOL)) Berjaya University College where I’m having my internship held Campus Tour for students on Saturday. There’ve been around 200 high-school students… and somehow they considered me looking like Beckham. I had around 50-60 pictures with crazy young ladies and boys which were screaming when I touched them or shook their hands. I already saw avatars in FB with me at student's accounts. Actually, I was said that need to get used to such behavior.))) So, make a queue for a signature)

Clothes off\on or beware of air-cons. It’s hot in here…I guess there must be some trainees in the atmosphere. Well…if U consider trip to Malaysia - u need only one season clothes…as lighter as possible…it’s very hot! But somehow…..local people don’t feel strict transition and hit air-cons on maximum that U freeze inside the public transportation, shopping-centers and food stores (((. Brrrrr!

Let’s learn in the best. I must admit my admiration of professionalism and approach of my working place (Berjaya University College of Hospitality). Having only 5,5 working days I’m amazed with attitude towards students’ recruitment in here. They are to fight for every single student. Student - is a client of theirs. So, we serve him, we respect him, we treat him accordingly))). Service of the 5 stars hotel indeed! Apart of it there are 11 kitchens with special facilities (Asian, European, pastry, baker etc), real tourist agency, housekeeping suite, students’ restaurants and many more.....they get practice in real business worlds (in hotels, restaurants, agencies) with references after and working places in huge Berjaya group))) I wish Ukraine had the same!!!

Well, for now that’s it, folks) Stay tuned!

malaysia, kuala lumpur
