On Monday, I will be going to the Stevens County Medical Center at 7 am for ankle surgery. Lucky me. Here's what will occur:
-I am forgoing general anesthesia and opting for the sedative and spinal block. This should make it so I can get to class on Wednesday. So, I will get an IV with the sedative and when I'm good and happy, they'll inject something into my spine. The podiatrist promises that I won't remember it. I hope that's true.
Two possible outcomes:
-The good one- The podiatrist will make a small incision and stick a scope into my foot. He will find a meniscoid body (scar tissue). He will make another small incision and remove it. My incisions will get sewn up and I will be back on my feet after a couple days.
-The bad one- The podiatrist will make a small incision and stick a scope into my foot. He will notice damage to my ligament. He will make a large incision and cut said ligament only to sew it back together. My incisions will get sewn up and I will have a boot and be on crutches until graduation.
My life is so joyful right now, I can hardly stand it.
