Why do I go anywhere but lj? Why? WHY? I should just stay here where it's safe and you all get it.
Because I swear, I am thisclose to smacking heads. Why is it so hard for other people to understand the words that I am typing. Do they not teach reading comprehension anymore?
So I've been commenting that last night's Being Human US series finale disappointed me in regards to Sally's story. Annie, Sally's counterpart in the UK version, got a crowning moment of awesome where she used her powers to toss around a bunch of vamps. Now, I said that I never expected that moment in the US version. The characters are at different places, the circumstances are different, etc. I just said that it would have been nice if she'd been given anything of importance to do in the finale, instead of showing up to the fight only to whimper and drop her stake in the face of someone who literally could not touch her. You know, have her effect the plot in some way. A little thing called agency. I would have been happy if she'd used her new-found ability to pick things up to hit Bishop on the head even if it didn't kill him.
And all I get in response is "Annie was too superpowered in the original", "I like that they aren't making Sally a superhero". Etc, etc, etc. Because that's totally the point I was trying to make, right?
