Taken from several people on my flist. I think I've actually done this one before, or something similar. But it's fun, so who cares.
Six ships you are into right now (I'm limiting myself to currently airing shows for this one, or I'd never be able to choose just 6):
1. River/Eleven (Doctor Who)
2. Erica/Hobbes (V)
3. Michael/Fiona (Burn Notice)
4. Michael/Nikita (Nikita)
5. Mitchell/Annie (Being Human- UK)
6. Gwen/Arthur (Merlin)
Three ships you liked but don't like anymore:
7. Damon/Elena (Vampire Diaries)
8. Tony/Ziva (NCIS)
9. Adama/Roslin (BSG)
Four ships you never liked:
10. Jack/Kate (Lost)
11. Buffy/Spike (BtVS)
12. Rose/Ten (Doctor Who)
13. Sawyer/Juliet (Lost)
Two ships you're curious about but don't actually ship:
14. Cary/Kalinda (The Good Wife)
15. Neal/Alex (White Collar)
Why do you dislike 11 (Buffy/Spike) so much?
It was just icky. I mean, I like couples who have some fucked up aspect to their relationship, but B/S just came off as borderline abusive in the way they were using each other. And then he tried to rape her.
Who is someone you know that ships 14 (Cary/Kalinda)?
I don't even know if anyone else on my flist watches this show, lol.
What would be your ideal scenario for 3 (Michael/Fiona)?
They keep doing what they're doing, fighting crime side by side. I don't see any need for them to 'settle down', although wacky job related high-jinks that require them to get married would be funny. Mostly because Sam and Maddie would never, ever let them live it down.
What is your favourite moment for 1 (River/Eleven)?
He saves her from the exploding Tardis with the following exchange:
Eleven: Hi honey, I'm home.
River: *looking at her watch while shit blows up* And what sort of time do you call this?"
So adorable. I love a couple that can snark in the middle of the end of the universe.
How long have you been following 6 (Gwen/Arthur)?
Pretty much from the start. I started during the break between seasons 2 and 3, when they had already gotten together, and I had seen all the caps and vids and complaints and praise, etc. So I was watching for them during season 1, even though they didn't interact much until towards the end more.
What's the story with 8 (Tony/Ziva)? What made you stop liking/caring?
The fact that the NCIS writers do not give a shit about consist characterization. Tony is great about 50% of the time (maybe 40%). When he's allowed to act like an adult and be awesome, he and Ziva make a good match. When they decide to make him a whiny, immature, horndog manchild, she's far too good for him. It's too exhausting to keep going back and forth. And the writers are determined to drag this out forever. I'm not actively against them now, I'd enjoy it if they did hook up (probably), but I'm not going to put any energy into wishing for it anymore.
You have the power to make one ship nonexistent. Choose from 10 (Jack/Kate) or 12 (Rose/Ten)
Oh, Jack/Kate all the freaking way. Rose/Ten more annoyed me than anything else, and even then it's almost more fandom than the actual show. But Jack and Kate made me physically ill in the finale when I realized they were end game and I was supposed to buy their sexless, emotionally abusive, unbalanced relationship and twu wuv.
Which ship do you prefer, 2 (Erica/Hobbes) or 4 (Michael/Nikita)?
You know, it's actually tough, because I think they're about equal on the hotness scale, and on the 'badasses with guns fighting side by side' scale (a very important measure for me). But I'm 99% Michael/Nikita are eventual endgame, whereas I'm 99% Erica/Hobbes is going to end in tears and possibly blood. So I'm gonna go with M/N.
What interests you about 15 (Neal/Alex)?
The chemistry, the history, the push/pull with Alex being on the wrong side of the law and Neal trying to be on the right side.
Why did you stop liking 7 (Damon/Elena)?
Because my 'badboys are hot' blinders fell off and I could no longer ignore how completely and totally disgusting Damon is.
Did your waning interest in 9 (Roslin/Adama) kill your interest in the show?
Not at all. They were never a big ship, but I thought they were really sweet, and I appreciated that the older characters got to have some lovin' too. But I went from being indifferent to Adama to finding him irritating and infuriating beyond belief for large parts of season 4. So that just kind of made me want Roslin to hang out with Starbuck all the time and they could be awesome together.
What's a song that reminds you of 5 (Mitchell/Annie)?
Collide by Dishwalla currently reminds me of about 75% of all my ships. Because I tend to like couples who are fucked up and complicated in some way, and it's all about hurting the people you love. And let's face it, when Annie finds out what Mitchell did, it's going to devastate her.
If you could have any two of these pairings double date, who would it be?
Michael/Fiona and Michael/Nikita. They could plan jobs and swap weapons tips over cocktails, take turns sparing after dinner, and take down evil people on the weekends.
Have 2 (Erica/Hobbes) kissed yet?
I will take any and all excuses to post this gif as many times as possible.
Did 4 (Michael/Nikita) have a happy ending? If the show hasn't ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely?
I think it's possible, but more towards the bittersweet side of things. So far it doesn't seem like the kind of show that would kill one of them off, and I don't see them just walking away from each other because they don't love each other anymore or something. But I'm not sure happily ever after is in the cards either. I could see them ending much like the original M/N, where they are parted in the end because of outside circumstances, but with the promise that they'll be together eventually.
What would make you start shipping 14 (Cary/Kalinda)?
I want them to keep playing up their friendship for now, because I think it's really sweet, and kind of what Kalinda needs right now. If/when they do hook up, I want it to be Kalinda who initiates. She's such a stoic person that I have a hard time knowing sometimes what she really feels. I don't want to wonder if she and Cary get together.
If only one could happen, which would you prefer, 2 (Erica/Hobbes) or 6 (Gwen/Arthur)?
G/A. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like where they take E/H, so I'm probably going to end up with fanfiction anyway. Gwen and Arthur are Gwen and Arthur. You have to have Guinevere and Arthur! Especially since these incarnations appear to be completely devoted to each other and I just can't see the cheating with Lancelot thing happening in this version.
You have the power to decide the fate of 10 (Kate/Jack). What happens to them?
I'm fine with what happend on island in the finale, because I do think Kate loved him and he was dying, so why not tell him and give him a kiss? But no schmoopy awful afterlife shit that implies she never, for the rest of her life, met anyone better than him who was worth spending her afterlife with *coughSawyercough*. That part was just too depressing. I mean really, Jack was as good as it got? Poor, poor Kate.
Which do you dislike the most?
Jack and Kate. Sawyer and Juliet are a close second, but I might actually have bought into that relationship if they had just bothered to actually write it and show it on screen for more than 2 seconds before I was supposed to believe it was true love. Jack and Kate, on the other hand, were awful start to finish, and nothing could make them better save a personality transplant for Jack.
Which of these ships do you like the most?
At the moment probably Michael/Nikita. They're hitting a lot of my buttons and I'm fairly confident that it's always going to be Michael/Nikita, even if there's rough patches along the way.
