Ear mites are gross
Took Vala to the vet last night, got her first round of shots, wormed her, and cleaned out her ear mites. Vet said she might very well win for worst infestation of the month. That she's saying that with confidence one week into the month says something. They pulled out a grape sized plug of black gunk out of each ear, and then still had to go back for more. I think she used close to 30 swabs all total.
Thank goodness they trimmed her claws. I was almost to the point of doing it myself, but I wasn't sure how low to go. It's funny now because she used to use her claws and climb up the sofa instead of jumping. The first time she tried to do that after the trim she fell off, it was hilarious.
And, for your daily dose of adorable, this is her favorite place to sleep.
