Momo smiled up at him, relaxing a bit at the normal questions. She had always liked Renji; he was one of the few people who never seemed to mind the quirks about her that had gotten her teased by the other kids. She nodded, “I am doing okay,” she wasn’t going to fidget in front of Renji! She clasped her hands together tightly and took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. Renji was here, the scary person behind her couldn’t be scary as long as Renji was right there because Renji was her friend. Right. All she had to do was calm down and smile, nod, and relax. He was as nice as Shirou-chan.

And take deep breathes like the nice councilor kept telling her to do when she became anxious. “I made it all the way down the hall by myself,” she forced her hands to remain still, but couldn’t stop the way her feet shifted. “I heard… that this was a nice place to come sit.”

She hesitated… it would be best to wait and ask him to sing right? So that way he didn’t think she had come over here to just… ask him to sing? Because she didn’t want him to think she was using him for just his singing, she was genuinely glad to see him since she hadn’t talk to him in so long…

She was thinking too much again. Deep breathes. “I was really glad to see you.”
