kickass. Journal Updating's as easy as a single click now. so, I guess I gotta fill you journal readers (yeah, what, like all 3 of you?) in on my life since Early April.
actually...nothing really happened in April. or at least, anything I can remember anyway.
May was a fairly quiet month too, but it got really hecticnear the end. in one day, I helped my mom tear apart 3 rooms in our house to get ready for our carpets to be cleaned. including mine, which was the first time it had been significantly re-arranged in years. in fact, my desk was broken while we were moving it, so I had to get a new one. it's much smaller, and it opened up my room alot. but a couple of days later my mom wne to the hospital complaining of Chest pains. turns out the problem was in her gallbladder, which was removed. and some of the gunk got in her liver, but she's fine now.
June was a bit of a busy month. I started to be more responsible for my brother, and we got some new furniture. mom got a new bed and we got a new couch with a pull out bed for guests to sleep on while they stay here. which is nice, because my sister's working at her old job while they're getting some new employees trained. also, fate/stay night, the first fansubbed series I've kept up on, ended. and I got Azukiyo into it. neener.
July's always a busy month. for starters, I went and saw Smash Mouth play live last friday. it was awesome. but I also got majorly ripped off by a Carnie's dart game which costed 5 bucks a dart. in 10 minutes I went from 62 bucks to 2 bucks thanks to that guy. and then my brother got sick. He'd had nothing but soda and popcorn and was riding rides non-stop. and it was like, super hot. I should know, because I sat in the sun for like, 45 minutes waiting for the band to start playing. if you ever get the chance, go see 'em in concert.
and then of course, my birthday's on Sunday. gonna be 19. and you know what? no pre-birthday angst. probably because 19 isn't as significant as my last couple of birthdays were. I mean, I guess the next big one's 21.
now that you're pretty much caught up with my life, now on to something important: Video Games.
SLY COOPER - I picked up this series recently. you play as Sly Cooper, a thief with a rather interesting view of morality. He's a thief, but while you're playing, you only steal from the bad guys. since I suck at describing things, check out
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sly_Cooper for more details. I reccomend Sly 2: Band of Thieves.
MEGAMAN POWERED UP - I finally upgraded my PSP, and this was the reason why. not only can you play as Megaman, but any of the 8 robot masters you fight, which makes more or less makes it like, 10 games in one....kind of. don't get this if you don't like dubs though.
METAL GEAR SOLID 3 - I've been interested in this game for awhile, so I finally said "What the hell", and thus far, it's more forgiving then I anticipated. but maybe that's because I started out playing "Easy" mode. but it doesn't cease to be fun. really cutscene intensive though.
LEGO STAR WARS - Fun game to play while bored. some of the unlockable characters are either pointless (such as the various Light side Jedi) or pointless (such as the Clone troopers, since they're pretty much Blaster-types without the Grappling ability). and you gotta admit, any game that lets you kill Jar-Jar's awesome, lolamirite?
VIEWTIFUL JOE: RED HOT RUMBLE - I've only played this the first day I got it, and it gave me a bit of a sore spot on my index finger. gogo Gamecube controller. it's fairly simple, but it can get aggravating at times.
POKEMON XD: GALE OF DARKNESS - it's a pokemon game. 'nuff said. I was disappointed when I found out the scooter you get wasn't really used for anything but a cutscene of you riding through whatever terrain you're on. eh, can't win 'em all.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - I love the game's character system, but the slowness and the length of time Battles can take really kills it for me. but it's a PS1 game, what else can I say?
FIRE EMBLEM: SWORD OF SEALS - if Sacred Stones (FE8) was an excerise in hating yourself, then Blazing Sword (FE7) was an exercise in killing yourself, and Sword of Seals (FE6) is an exercise in killing yourself and somehow surviving. it's so easy to get screwed somehow in this game it's not funny. it's not called "The hardest GBA FE" for nothing.
...aaaannd that's pretty much it.
