Cosplay prep
Working on that darn Assassin Cosplay is hard and nerve-wrecking to put it nicely. Of course it's immense fun to do too!
Today I spent the whole day just washing and ironing that grey and white fabric... yepp, the whole day. It dawned on my that I might have bought a lil too much.. ah well, better too much than too little, right? Both fabrics are gorgeous though the white one got some stains i can't wash out... will have to skip those parts. Let's hope there is still enough fabric left after that.
The Apples of Eden are coming along great. I will somehow have to keep the Fimo from breaking but that shouldn't be a problem. Given enough time Fimo hardens at 50°C too.. it just takes some 45 minutes or so. as for the paint, gold acryl colors on brown Fimo look stunning. I can truly recommend that. The effect is that the object looks somewhat old without you having to smudge it or just having an all golden and shiny ball. I might post a picture when I finished one. Preparing the styrofoam balls is great fun, I could do it all day lol
I just doubt anyone would pay me to do that all day long.
11.30 pm still feels too early for sleep, but I have no clue what else to do with my time. Already went and wrote an LJ entry...
