I had my wedding shower this past Saturday. It was actually quite alot of fun. It was great seeing some people I haven't seen in awhile. I'm so glad Danae was there too, it was great talking to her. The event was at Frankie's, which is a mom and pop italian/pizza place. The food was great. Supposedly the cake was great too, but I was too busy opening presents to get any. I have some at home though, and I will probably eat it as soon as I get home from work. Although I was planning on taking a walk... eat first, then walk to walk it off?
Any ways. O.M.G. *SO* many gifts! I must say, I felt rather embarrased by them all! The cheapest thing I got was actually the one that was the most immediately useful; a shoe rack. We had a mountain of shoes just inside the door, and I always trip on them going in or out. Yay for the shoe rack! Other goodies included a pressure cooker, a crock-pot, a nice bed in a bag set, a 10pc set of Pyrex with lids, a 10pc set of Corningware with lids, a rice cooker/steamer, a programmable coffee machine, a 24 pc Cuisinart knife set which included steak knives, a cutting board, and a block to hold all the stabbities, a toaster, and our favorite, a KitchenAid mixer. And that's not even all of it!!!
I was actually quite glad that we got almost nothing but kitchen stuff. It's all useful now. And we don't have a house yet, so towels and linens and such wouldn't work so well, because what if we decorated in colors that didn't match? Then we'd have to buy all new towels n such.
We have no idea where we're going to put all this stuff though!
