Debating whether to go climbing tomorrow. And/or on Saturday. And/or next Wednesday.
I enjoy it, but I dunno if my arms and hands can handle that much climbing in one week, when it's been a month since I last went, and it was some six years before that.
Also, I need to decide if I want to get a pass when I go. It costs $12 to climb. I think I may end up paying a bit less since I have my own shoes. (memo to me: hint at Dennis to get me a climbing harness/chalk bag/ATC belay device/carabiner package/set thingie for Christmas) A 5-visit pass is $50, saving me $10-ish, a 10-visit pass is $85, saving me $35-ish.
I looked it up. Last time I went, I paid $12.50, but $2 of that was for the belay test. So $10.50 to climb and get a harness n such. So a 5-pass saves me $2.50, and a 10-pass saves me $20.
Passes are good for an entire year.
Will I use it though? The 5-pass isn't really much of a savings, but will I really go climbing 10 times between now and next year? Will having the pass motivate me to go more often? I'm a bit at the mercy of the meet-up group; I can't really climb if I've got no one to belay me.
Decisions, decisions
