Oh yes. When I was at the LYS, the lady who helped me recognized me from my Ravelry avatar. It's the same one I tend to use as my default LJ icon. She is also a big sock knitter, and was quite thrilled that I was foraying into socks and that I would be using the magic loop method, as opposed to using DPNs.

So this shout-out goes out to Kim, at River Colors, for being very friendly and helpful and patient with me! :D
