justprompts: Role Models
Talk about your role models. Who do you look up to and why?
My dad. Yes, he's a bit grumpy, but still...he also was an amazing police officer who managed to become a legend while raising my brother and I. And though he was never one of those touchy-feely "let's hug it out" parents, he did all right.
He's the whole reason I wanted to go into the FBI. I could never see myself as a cop. I don't know why. For some reason that never appealed to me. But working profiles for the gruesome murders of the FBI's VCU...that was my dream. I wanted to get inside these people's heads. (And if my Dad is reading this right now, he's probably glad I didn't apply to Quantico).
I also wanted to make him proud. Is that too pathetic?

And then there's Shawn. I could never tell him he's my role model, he'd never let me forget it. But he is.
He's just...so...Shawn. He doesn't care what people think of him or what he does. He just lives his life. And I admire him for that.
I actually wish I could be more like him.
