Anaconda!!

I am exhausted and killing time in an internet place before getting on a 16 hour (!) bus to ciudad bolivar. The widlife/adventure/whatever tour was amazing! We stayed in a camp in this rural area of the venezuelan savannah. The first day we did a boat ride where we saw everything from caiman to huge georgous birds to a boa constrictor to purple freshwater dolphins! We went out later the night and the guides walked through the shallow water with a stick looking for anacondas-which scared the shit out of me. After an hour my guide found a huge ANACONDA! He actually picked it up and brought it to the road to show us. Kepp in mid that this anaconda was about as thick as the top of a persons thigh and about 4.5 meters long! He held the head and let me hold up the tail. It was georgeous with these yellow spots and it just felt like one huge mescle. The guide told us that he has seen them eat small cows andf alligators. I took a video of it and will post it later. That night at about 9pm when it was pitch black out he went looking for caiman (which are similar to alligators) in the water and in the dark, while we waited in the road. He pounced on one and brought it to the road to show us too. The guide really was fucking crazy!

The next day we went fishing for piranas and also went horseback riding. I havnt been on a horse in a long time but they just let us do whatever so i let my horse run all over the place. It was awesome except that i know have huge bruises on my thighs. The people at the camp fried up the pirahnas for lunch and i tried some-but it was gross to be eating something that is staring at you with huge teeth.

Today we went whitewater rafting. The weird thing is that when i signed up for the tour i was told their would be only wildlife observation and didnt know about the rafting or horseback riding-so oit was a nice added bonus. But i have alaways been petrified of rafting so i would have never done it were it not for this tour. The guide knew how scared i was and put me in the back of the raft next to him-so everytime we went over rapids that were big he grqabbed my lifejacket so id didnt fall out which i was real grateful for. However, it was really scary how we went out on the rapids with all of 5 minutes of training but i did survive so i guess i cant complain. Alright i am off to see Harry Potter dubbed in Spanish!

Speaking of which-when i come back dont tell me anything about the book till im done reading it! (i hope Harry dosn`t die!)
