*MASTERPOST*

Jun stared out of his window in his hospital room. He was here for almost a week now after waking up and it started to get boring. On the other hand he didn't want to leave as there was only one possible way for him to go: a reserved cell for him in the Border Watch office. The thought of the Border Watch building made him shiver and he was glad he was pulled out of his thoughts by his door slowly sliding open.

"Matsumoto-san, how are you feeling today?" The nurse asked as she came into the room.

"Fine, my head doesn't hurt as much as it did anymore. And I'm not really tired anymore." The nurse smiled and checked his pulse, writing something down on his chart right after.

"That's great. I think..."

"I think he is ready to come with me then." An unfamiliar voice interrupted her. A tall man stepped inside, the same aura as Sakurai always had around him coming off this man as well. He bowed slightly to the nurse who was a bit startled by his appearance but didn't move an inch for Jun. For a little while all eyes were going back and forth between the three of them, all waiting for one of them to make the first move again. It was the new man who finally did.

"Border Watch officer Nagare, I'll be in charge of your interrogation. I would like to start and get over with this as soon as possible so if you would be so kind to get ready to leave." Jun sighed and tried to get up but he was pushed back into his pillow by the surprisingly strong hands of the nurse.

"I don't believe that decision is up to you. The doctor will decide if he can go with you or not." The man crooked his eyebrow, looking a bit disturbed at the woman.

"You are aware he is a murderer?"

"Murderer or not, he is a patient in our care and I'm not going to let him go until the doctor says it is not dangerous for his health."

"I didn't kill anyone..." Jun softly muttered but loud enough for the other two in the room to hear. The Border Watch officer laughed softly.

"Of course you didn't. Nobody admits his crime right away but believe me, I will get the truth out of you." This time it was Matsumoto who laughed.

"Well congratulations that was really fast. You already have the truth out of me, I didn't kill Yuuichiro"

"I was talking about the real truth, not what you say is true. You will..."

"Enough!" The nurse said with a loud voice. "Nagare-san, I have to ask you to leave. If you want to question him so bad I suggest you get the doctor so he can examine Matsumoto-san. Until you haven't got permission from him I won't let you into this room and near my patient." She pushed the tall man out of the room and carefully closed the door before turning back to Matsumoto.

"That was very dumb of you Matsumoto-san. I know Nagare-san, he is one of the best and he doesn't like it when he isn't taken seriously."

"I would take him seriously if he did the same with me. I'm telling the truth, I didn't..."

"Look, it's not my job to get involved with interrogations. I take care of the sick and wounded officers in the Watches and that's the way I want it to be." She did a couple more tests before she spoke again.

"Looks like everything is going the way it is supposed to be. There is a big chance the doctor will say you are healthy enough to go to with the Border Watch officer, you should prepare to leave." Only two minutes after she left the doctor came in, checking him and indeed giving Nagare permission to take Matsumoto with him. After making an appointment for check-ups for three weeks later Matsumoto found himself on his way to the building he hated and maybe now feared the most, the transparent office of the Border Watch.

The room was deadly silent, the two men across each other staring at each other almost without blinking. Matsumoto didn't want to start talking as he knew it was no use. For the past few hours he had answered all Nagare's answers with the truth but of course the other man didn't believe a single word of it. He was slowly getting tired, feeling his body still wasn't fully healthy yet but he didn't want to give in to that. He didn't want to show any weak feelings, especially not to the man in front of him. Nagare sighed deeply and rubbed his temples.

"Matsumoto-san, could you please tell me why you did it? Why did you kill that ex Light Watch officer?"

"I'm getting tired of repeating myself. I didn't kill Yuuichiro!" His interrogator slammed his fist on the table, looking at him with burning eyes.

"There was a gun next to your hand, the gun that killed him! There was no one else in that empty warehouse, except you and Yuuichiro. Your fingerprints were on the gun. Everything points to you, you can't talk your way out of this." Jun sighed. The man in front of him was right, everything pointed to him. There was no way he could convince him he didn't do it, not with the evidence they had right now. If only he remembered something about what had happened right before and during the attack that could help him but it was all still blurry. Only he and a dead man were able to know the truth but he clearly couldn't remember and since the death can't talk he was at a death end. Except...

"Aiba! Aiba was there, his testimony! He heard someone behind him when he found us! That must be the real killer!"

"Do you think we haven't considered that? The problem is that Aiba-san never saw anyone, it could have been his imagination that he heard something. On top of that, he is in a relationship with one of your ex-colleagues. We have to keep in mind he just said that to protect you." This time is was Jun who slammed his fist on the table.

"I didn't do it! At this point I'm starting to wish I did since you won't believe me anyway. Then I wouldn't be accused for something I didn't do!" He had to close his eyes because of the sudden dizziness that overwhelmed him. When he opened them again he saw a victorious smile on the other man's face.

"So you are saying you actually wanted him dead."

"No, don’t change my words!" Again he felt dizzy but this time the room started to turn as well.

"Are you okay?" His interrogator asked, concern suddenly written on his face. Matsumoto took a deep breath.

"I'm fine, just a bit dizzy..." He muttered, not really wanting to show his weakness at the moment. If he would ever find out who had hit him on his head he would give that person some of his own medicine.

"I think we are done for today. I don't want to risk taking you back to the hospital, we don't have time for that."

"Well thank you for your concern." Jun snorted sarcastically. In fact he was relieved that the interrogation of today would finally end as he was getting nowhere near convincing the Border Watch officer of his innocence. Okay, maybe he wasn't completely innocent but he certainly didn't kill Yuuichiro. If only he had paid more attention instead of letting himself be distracted by his thoughts of Ninomiya he had at that time. He would have noticed Aiba earlier, stopped him from calling Sakurai and feel less watched as he had talked to Yuuichiro. Now it was too late for all those thoughts and probably too late to ever have a chance to meet Ninomiya again, even if he managed to get out of here. He had screwed up pretty badly this time.

"Make sure you rest, I want to continue tomorrow." The other man said, pulling Jun out of his thoughts. He realized they were standing in front of his cell already, door opened and waiting for him to step inside. He nodded slightly while he stepped inside, sitting down on his bed, the only furniture in the small room. While he looked around he realized one of his worst nightmares had come true. The small cell was surrounded by glass walls, he could see the, luckily empty, cells next to him and the guard next to the door of the hall. He felt vulnerable in here and he didn't like it. It was like all his sins were written big on his forehead, for everyone who passed to read.

As the door was locked his thoughts wandered back to Ninomiya. He wondered how the man had reacted to his absence which he would surely have noticed by now. Was he mad? Or maybe he didn't even care, not after their fight they had after Matsumoto had left him that morning. Maybe he was already sharing his bed with some other guy. That thought made his blood boil but he quickly calmed himself down again. The chances were big he would never leave this place again and that was in case he was lucky. If he wasn't so lucky he would have a death sentence, either going into the emptiness or having the chance to die normally. Ninomiya had every right now to do anything he wanted with someone else. Let himself be touched by hands of another man, let that man hear his beautiful moans.

"Shit Jun, stop being so sentimental." He muttered to himself, lying down on his bed. But he still couldn't get the smaller man out of his mind. For the past week he hadn't been able to do so, therefore there wasn't much chance he would be able to do it now. He sighed and turned over, hoping sleep would come soon to free himself from his thoughts.

***

The next few days were the same. Same questions, same answers over and over again until his head started to protest and he just couldn't go on anymore. He would go back to his cell where he would finally fall asleep after his lingering thoughts about Kazunari slowed down a little and let him rest. The thought that the days would go on like this scared him and he wondered if he could keep up with it. He didn't do it, they didn't believe him. They would keep pushing him until he would admit he did it. He knew they would break him eventually, they could break everyone and he hoped he wouldn't do something stupid then. The door of the interrogation room opened again and Nagare stepped inside with two steaming cups of coffee and a disturbing smile on his face. He gave Jun one of the cups and kept staring at him with that smile.

"I heard something interesting." He finally said after their cups were almost empty. "Something that will interest you as well. I think you would want to know it as well."

"Oh really? And what might that be?"

"Not so fast Matsumoto-san. I want to make a deal with you." Jun sighed and leaned back in his chair. Of course, nothing is for free in this world.

"You have information I want to know and I have something you would want to know. How about both telling what the other wants to know? Sounds fair enough right?" Jun laughed softly.

"I know what you want but I won't lie. You already know the truth and I'll keep repeating myself until you get it, I did not kill Yuuichiro." His interrogator sighed and shook his head.

"Too bad. Now you won't know what I wanted to tell you."

"You know, you would be very suited for the Dark Watch." Jun muttered, making the other man laugh.

"I hear that more often but I won't even consider changing Watches. I don't feel like going on today, I'll bring you back to your cell." Even though Jun didn't want it, he still wondered what kind of information the other man had that was so interesting. It must have been written on his face as Nagare smiled when he closed the door of Jun's tiny room.

"Think about it a bit more, the offer still stands." Jun sighed and sat down on his bed, wondering how long he would have to go on like this.
