*MASTERPOST*

This was not how it was supposed to go. Masaki hadn't mentioned another officer joining them on their trip yesterday but right now there was this Ikuta Toma sitting with them in the train. The man sitting across him had introduced himself as one of the GSB officers who would go with them as part of his training. Sho had no idea what exactly was going on but he couldn't ask his secret lover with the extra pair of eyes and ears on them. Luckily Ikuta excused himself after a while and stood up, leaving Sakurai and Aiba alone.

"Why is he here?" Sho asked softly, looking in the direction the other man had disappeared. Masaki sighed.

"Babysitter." He simply stated. "Higashiyama suspects something so he sent a spy to see what is going on. I'm sorry, we have to be careful from now on." Sakurai looked at the taller man with disbelief.

"Are you serious? Why is it so important for them that I die?" Aiba slowly shook his head.

"I didn't have a chance to look into that yet." He said. Sho didn't know if this was the truth or if the other man was hiding something from him, but either way it was better not to ask too much right now. Not when Ikuta could come back any moment and could hear their conversation. Besides, there was something else that worried Sakurai, seeing he had originally planned some nice things for the two of them to do but all of it was put in danger with the other man around.

"Do you think we could spend some time together tonight?" Sho asked hopefully. Masaki looked at him only, a cautious and warning look in his eyes which the older man understood immediately when Toma came in sight behind him a few seconds later.

"I overheard someone talking that the weather is great the coming few days in Kobe. Too bad we have work to do." Ikuta said with a smile as he sat down, looking back and forth between the two other men.

"Too bad indeed." Aiba said, not even trying to hide his sarcastic tone. Sakurai wondered if something had happened between the two co-workers before but of course he couldn't ask. Instead he just looked out of the window at the rushing by scenery. The whole way to Kobe he tried to come up with something that would give him and Masaki some privacy but the more he thought about it, the more he realized it might be impossible. It became even clearer in the hotel where the three of them would share a room together.

"I hope there are three beds in the room then." Sakurai muttered in the elevator on their way to their room. Toma smiled widely.

"Don't worry Sakurai-san. If there are only two beds I'll share one with Aiba-san, you can have one on your own." Sho was glad the elevator doors opened and the officer stepped outside first because his deadly look might have given him away. Masaki nudged him in his side, giving him a warning look before following Ikuta. Sho sighed deeply and followed as well, trying not to look too relieved when he saw three separate beds. But it seemed that Masaki hadn't missed it as he softly whispered to him when Toma disappeared in the bathroom to check everything.

"Good to know you get jealous easily." Sakurai tried to give him an annoyed look but the younger man already turned away and he couldn't say anything with Ikuta getting back inside the room.

"Bathroom looks good, do you have any preferences where you would like to sleep?" The new officer asked Sho, looking at him with a smile that started to annoy the ex-journalist more and more.

"The bed by the window is fine." He said, getting his bag and throwing it on the bed. As they unpacked Sho suddenly got an idea to get him and Masaki hopefully some time alone. When they were done and Toma asked if there was something else Sho needed or wanted to do here, the older man nodded.

"I have some family here I want to visit." Sakurai lied, looking at Aiba and trying to convince him to cooperate. "Maybe it's a good idea to do that tonight."

"That is a good idea yes, seeing we won't be able to do much tonight anyway." Masaki immediately agreed. Toma nodded.

"Let's do that. I'll..."

"With all due respect Ikuta-san..." Sho interrupted him. "I don't know you. It's a private matter and I trust Aiba-san to help me. I can't simply trust a newbie to go with me to something this emotional."

"You will have to get used to it Sakurai-san, I'm part of this now as well." Ikuta said, his smile slightly wavering. Sho frowned.

"Okay, then I won't go." He said, giving Masaki only one quick look which seemed to work.

"Sakurai-san, didn't you tell me before you wanted to meet them one last time?" Aiba asked, a nice, fake worried look on his face.

"It is but I'm not going with Ikuta-san coming along while I don't know him. Going with one other person is already too much but if it's Aiba-san I can handle. He helped me so far already that I trust him enough." Ikuta seemed to be troubled now, looking at Aiba as if he was asking him what to do.

"You know how Higashiyama-sama thinks about this case already. If we don't go tonight we would make this even longer. I'm sure he won't be happy if that happens." Masaki said slowly, making sure every meaning of those words reached the other officer. Sho could sense Toma didn't want trouble, especially not with their highest boss but he still didn't seem completely convinced.

"Look Ikuta-san, I respect your training, don't get me wrong, but try to look at it from my side as well. I won't tell anyone you let tonight slip and I'm sure Aiba-san won't say anything either." Sakurai swallowed, trying to think of his son lying in front of him to make his eyes shiny with tears.

"It's just... My family... It's hard enough to face them already after... My son..." He took a deep breath, trying to stay focused as he noticed it was working. "I'm afraid of their reaction and I still have my pride. At least a small bit of it. Can you understand I don't want someone I don't know see me and my family like that? And it's not like I'm going alone right? Aiba-san will still come with me, shouldn't that be enough for this?"

"I understand." Ikuta slowly said.

"Besides Ikuta-san." Aiba interrupted, ready to give the final push. "If you stay in the hotel tonight you can do a bit of research tonight which we won't have to do tomorrow then. It might fasten the process." The other officer finally seemed completely convinced.

"You are right, that is a good idea. But after this I won't stay behind anymore. We all know there is a good reason I'm here." Toma looked at Aiba who nodded.

"Thank you Ikuta-san." Sakurai said, trying to get the tension between the two officers away. "I'll change so we can go right away." He slipped inside the bathroom and breathed deeply a couple of times, softly cheering to himself that it worked. He could hear some tensed whispers on the other side of the door and he hoped he didn't get Masaki in trouble but when he changed and stepped in the room again he saw Toma was the one who looked most troubled. Sho tried to suppress a smile as he said he was ready to go. Masaki nodded and leaded the way outside. It wasn't until they were outside the hotel for a few minutes already before the taller man finally spoke.

"You realize you took a risk there right?" Masaki said. Sho smiled and took the other man's hand.

"I know but it was worth it. Ever since you helped me we haven't been alone for a longer time and I didn't stay alive just to watch you from afar. I want us to at least spend some time together. You know, in case..."

"Don't finish that sentence. But you are right, I got caught up in investigating, I'm sorry." Sakurai smiled and pulled the taller man closer and inside a small ally.

"I'll only accept your apology if you promise not to think about anything else than us in this moment." He said softly, placing a soft kiss on the other man's lips. Aiba's cheeks colored slightly in the fading light, making Sakurai's heart skip a beat. "Come on, we have to hurry or else we will miss it."

"Miss what?" Masaki asked confused, speeding up to stay at Sho's side.

"You will see." Sakurai said mysteriously. He had planned this small surprise beforehand so he was happy they managed to sneak out of the hotel room with a petty lie. There was only one small problem but that could be solved pretty easily. He ignored Aiba's questions and simply dragged him along as he bought a big towel in a store close to his destination. With the towel in a bag in one of his hands and Masaki's hand still in his other he leaded them to the beach, just as the sky started to turn into a dark orange. He smiled, happy he was in time as he spotted the sun still above the sea, giving them enough time to search for a good spot. Masaki had quieted down, probably realizing what Sho was doing and at some point he helped by pointing out a perfect spot to sit.

"It's perfect, out of the wind and out of sight of possible curious eyes." Sakurai said with a smile, getting the big towel out of the bag so they had something to sit on. Aiba smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek, laughing softly when Sakurai pulled him down and close enough to almost sit on his lap.

"I wouldn't have guessed you have a romantic side Sakurai-san." Masaki teased, making Sho's cheeks color slightly.

"You brought me to a place with a beach, better use it while we can right?" Sakurai mumbled, feeling Aiba sigh deeply and lean against his side. They stayed like that for a while, Masaki's head finding his way towards Sho shoulder as they watched the sun go down behind the horizon. Even after it disappeared and it got darker and darker they stayed where they were, the few other people who had been around one by one disappearing. Sho didn't dare to move yet, not wanting to break the spell around them and at the same time not daring as he started to feel very aware of the presence of the younger man next to him. Eventually it was Masaki who moved first, lifting his head and turning slightly so he could kiss his lover. At first it was slow and searching but after a short while the kiss became more heated and insatiable.

"I want you Masaki..." Sho said lowly as he finally broke the kiss, seeing the taller man shiver softly and his eyes darkening.

"Here?" He asked surprised

"We can't go to our hotel room and I'm not taking you to some cheap love hotel."

"But it's public." Aiba said, not sounding convinced by Sakurai's words and trying to create a bit of distance between them.

"There isn't anybody here..." Sho whispered, biting Masaki's earlobe and feeling him shiver.

"People could come." Aiba said but it didn't sound convincing and when Sakurai started to kiss his neck every opposition disappeared. A soft moan left the officers throat as Sho pushed him down, making sure he was lying on the towel.

"Sho..." The taller man softly tried but it sounded more like a moan than trying to get him away.

"They won't come." Sakurai said, removing Aiba's shirt without any resistance. He reached for his back pocket and got out a small package of lube and a condom.

"You planned this?" Masaki giggled lowly, changing in a soft moan when Sho circled his tongue around his left nipple. Sho slowly dragged his tongue up until he reached the younger man's lips and licked them.

"Sunset on the beach yes. Making love the whole night too but some annoying guy bugged us out of our hotel room so I had to improvise on that." He could feel Aiba sigh on his lips.

"I'm sorry for..." Sakurai pressed their lips together maybe a bit too harsh but it was needed to shut him up.

"Don't ruin the mood." He softly muttered, sitting up and letting his eyes wander over the other man's body. The more he looked at him the more he fell in love again, loving the slight blush that appeared on Masaki's face. He loved the way his chest moved, slightly quickened with his arousal and the shadow of his birthmark on his left shoulder. The younger man pulled Sho down at his shirt, licking his lips before removing the older man's shirt. Once his arms were free again Sakurai's hands found their way to his lover’s pants, only a few seconds later pushing them down together with his boxers. He smiled when he saw Aiba's erection sprang free, showing him the younger man was probably just as excited as he was. He realized that even though they had sex before, this was actually the first time they were both in their right state of mind and could both fully enjoy. Slowly he let his hands wander over Aiba's abs, shortly following the trail he made with his tongue until he reached the officer’s member.

"Remember you can't be too loud." He said softly but loud enough for the other to hear before he wrapped his lips around him. With his eyes on Masaki's face he softly started to suck, seeing the other man was biting his lips hard but some sounds still slipped past. His hands fumbled with the small package of lube, finally managing to open it and a few seconds later he smeared some around Masaki's twitching hole before inserting one lubed finger. Quickly but carefully he started to stretch the younger man, preparing him for his painfully hard member still trapped inside his pants.

"More..." Masaki moaned softly when Sho could move three fingers inside him without much resistance, giving Sho the sign that he could replace his fingers with his arching member. Even though he wanted nothing more than slip into the younger man right away, he still stopped himself after he kicked off his pants and put on the condom. Aiba licked his lips unconsciously, looking at Sakurai though half lit eyes which made the ex-journalist even harder. He locked their lips as he started to push inside, making their sounds as quiet as possible. Unhurriedly he started to trust, speeding up when he felt Aiba's long fingers tighten around his arms. When a particular loud moan slipped past their locked lips Sho smiled and kept moving the same way, feeling fingers dig inside his arms. He could feel himself getting closer to the edge, making it more and more difficult to try to stay quiet. He sneaked a hand between their bodies, finding Masaki's dripping erection and wrapping his fingers around it. Masaki arched his back, making their bodies come even closer so Sho could feel his shudders even better as he came. Feeling the walls around him tighten made the older man cross the edge as well, only trusting shallowly a few times more before collapsing on top of his lover. Both breathing heavily they looked at each other, Aiba starting to giggle softly. The sound of the breathy giggles made Sakurai laugh as well, sitting up slowly and pulling the condom off, tossing it inside the bag. The soft breeze made him suddenly very aware of where they actually were, quickly getting their clothes cleaning their bodies with the towel.

"There is sand everywhere." Aiba grumbled but still with a smile on his face once there were fully clothed again, looking at Sakurai with a failed displeased look. The older man just laughed and pulled him closer.

"I love you Masaki." He said seriously, placing a soft kiss on his lips. Masaki sighed and squeezed his hand.

"I love you too and as much as I want to be alone with you, we need to go back before Ikuta starts to suspect something." Sho nodded, getting the towel and putting it back in the shopping bag.

"Will it ever become easy?" He grumbled, somehow relieved that Aiba didn't answer in any way. He didn't know what kind of answer he was looking for anyway. He did know that it might take a while before the two of them would have some time alone again, so he tried to take advantage of it as much as possible on their way back. He kept the younger man close to his body, sneaking in a lot of teasing kisses without caring if anyone would see them. To his pleasant surprise Aiba simply let him, doing the same from time to time until they got close to the hotel and got out of Sakurai's embrace.

"Any idea what you will say if he asks questions?" The officer asked. Sho sighed.

"I'll tell him it's none of his business."

"Sho..." Aiba looked at him with a frown.

"I know. I'll just tell him whatever he wants to know. I'll think of something when he asks, don't worry." Aiba smiled and for probably the last time for a longer while he kissed him once they were alone in the elevator.

"Thank you for tonight." The younger man softly said.

"Just imagine what can happen when we are alone again." Sakurai said with a wink, making Aiba's cheeks color bright red. Even though his heart was smiling widely, Sakurai got his face in the most neutral look he could manage as they stepped out of the elevator, knowing they would have to face the new officer soon. He didn't like the look on Toma's face when they stepped inside the hotel room, feeling like the new officer was looking right through their lies.

"You have been away for quite a while." The youngest said, his eyes going back and forth between the two secret lovers. Sakurai sighed and dropped his bag on his bed.

"It's not something that can be done in 5 minutes." He grumbled annoyed. "If you don't mind, I want to take a shower and go to sleep, it was really tiring." He ignored Aiba's look as he walked passed him, feeling guilty for claiming the shower first while the officer must feel much dirtier. But seeing the situation this would probably keep Toma's suspicion as low as possible, or at least he hoped it would. Just like he hoped the hissed conversation that started once he closed the bathroom door didn't mean trouble but for tonight he tried not to worry about it too much. Not after he had finally managed to spend some quality time with his lover.
