Party girl
So I became the party girl this weekend, but that little portion of my life is over, at least for the time being.
Friday: Mer flew down to visit Wendy and I finally got to meet her. I LOVE her! She's cool as hell. Me, Wendy, Mer and David went to Red Robin for dinner (and the waitress called David pretty) and afterwards we headed to Thomas Street since there's pool and fooseball. Mer and I added to our wardrobe Red Robin balloons tied to our jean belt loops. I believe Mer's said something like, touch me, read me, buy me beer (she got a free beer from it) mine would have said something but while we were sitting at one of the tables, Denise (who joined us) was starting to write on it, and the thing popped. Bah).
Wendy, Mer and I hovered over the jukebox like animals, but they changed all the songs so or selections consisted of - Good Times (70's disco song), Legs - ZZ Top and Snoop/Dre's California Love. I had two shots of Barron, an upside down wedding cake drink (not shot, darn) and a beer. I left a couple of drunk voice mails on Red's phone of which she had no idea what I'd said. We were all boring and were home by midnight.
Saturday
Me, Wendy and Mer went to Coyote Joe's and had a blast. Before that we went shopping at Concord Mills. Our original reason was to buy a hat for one of Mer's friends so why did we end up with three bags each coming out of the mall. I even got an old Brendan 77 Kodak sweatshirt for $3.99. Hey it's going to be cold and I need something to warm up with, it'll do. I got a pair of pants and went to Arden B and got two $88 skirts for $4.99 and a pair of $180.00 satin pants for $9.99 - go me for being the bargain queen :).
We got very drunk on Saturday night and even found a Jamie McMurray to amuse us *g* There are so many funny things that happened (one, Tony my roomie showed up - gay man at a country bar, the world has definitly tilted on its axis) but I'm pretty sure I was too drunk to remember and narrate them correctly.
Sunday
I dragged myself from Wendy's at about 8:30 a.m., went home and lay in my bed until 6:00. Then went to Lisa and Clayton's with David to watch the race - but ended up watching feardotcom (yuck). Got back to David's and watched the race while passed out on the sofa...GO KYLE GO SHRUB!!
Monday
David, Lisa, Clayton and I went to the Lake and spent the day on the Pontoon. I did not get into the water except, well, YOU KNOW, because it was damn cold. DAMN cold. Then we went back to David's I felt lethargic from so much relaxation and granny here was in bed by 9:00.
