Drama en la casa
Where do I begin? Just where.
Well the whole Regi/Tony break up has come to a complete and total head! All because people who have no business interfering are doing just that. Things were amicable for a couple of months after Regi moved out. Tony was always going to help Regi pay his credit card debt down, and Tony was going to refi the house to get Regi off the deed and whatever money he got out of it he was going to give to Regi, PLUS if Tony ever sold the house half of the proceeds would go to Regi.
Regi even came back and forth in the house for a whole month getting what he needed, which was a LOT of stuff. Tony and I have had no dining room, barely any dishes, Tony had to get a new bed, television, vcr, etc. I mean we were bare. Well Regi goes to Charleston with friends who don't like Tony and they started putting thoughts into his head. All of a sudden Regi is accusing Tony of screwing him over, kicking him out of the house (Regi walked out and would not come back), and all of a sudden everything is about money. Regi's sister - who hates Tony now also, told Regi not to sign the refinance papers because Tony was screwing him and now Regi's gone wild. He told Tony he's not signing the papers, he's threatening to move back into the house (yeah that'll work) and he's being really mean...just because he's listening to outside people. I've heard both sides of the story and I don't tell either what was said so I know that Tony does NOT want to screw Regi over. When he got the refinance started he found out that the house appraised for 2k less than they thought, so they would get less money out of the deal at THIS point, but more than if he outright sold the house. Regi's livid.
So yesterday Tony comes in and tells me that the day before the refinance was supposed to happen, Regi calls and says he's not signing anything and screams and yells at Tony. Tony left for dinner at his friend's house and he calls me about an hour later and says Regi is coming over to get Mimi **cries...my little baby**. Well by the time Regi got there Tony and his friend Mireille were sitting in the house with me, I was on the phone with David. In less than 1 minute, Regi storms in, screams at Tony, goes to the back, grabs Mimi, runs back out, screams some more stuff and says 'I'll see you in court.' And that was that.
1) He's got nothing to sue for. He forgets, Tony now has a full house payment (Regi hasn't paid anything on the house since he moved out), plus all utilities etc. Regi thinks Tony now has a bunch of money..not.
2) It's just awful.
Anyway I talked to Regi a bit after he left, just to make sure I could still come visit with my Mimi, and he mentioned seeing Tony in court again. Thinks are crazy.
Ugh...never EVER Buy a house with someone you are not married to. This is a testiment to that.
