Oh I don't know.
I mean, okay if he wanted to be 'nice' he wouldn't do it at all (but this is Jack, so that ain't going to happen) BUT if he was actively wanting to hurt someone (not very Jack either) he could totally foresake discretion.

And BTW, it was a brilliant choice of word :D
