Well, now, this wasn't half bad, really. I mean yes, there's the domestic fluff, but it's got sinister under-tones to it, and I adore the idea of Gwen being free to fly with the Doctor. Poor Jack. No more wriststrap. :(

Thanks sweetie! I honestly thought it would be more crack-like, but I guess my true feelings came through and made it even darker than I originally intended. But I did give all the "Gwen should have lost the baby people EXACTLY what they say they wanted."

As I said, I like this story, although I still think it's rather sad, a disconcerting confession of failure where interpersonal human relations are concerned.

Thanks for all your hard work on the fic. I really appreciate it. I honestly meant to write crack!fic, but I'm not sure it came out that way.

Yeah, I'm not convinced this really qualifies as a crack!fic (on the other hand, it might just be me associating some wildly hallucinogenic happenings with this kind of "genre" :P).

I am frankly too terrified to see what your idea of fluffy Janto to actually read this fic.

Noting that there are very few writers I'll click on something labelled J/I for...

I'm veering wildly between feeling that this is horribly, horribly sad - to drive Gwen to do that, for them (all) to have to pay such a high price as their part of Jack's bargain, to be able to feel her pain so very clearly, all the way through this - and that it's just utterly, wonderfully evil! (My only quibble would be to feel that Jack would be more than a little distressed to see *Gwen* leaving, no matter his feelings on the occasion or who she was with!)

The Doctor would be lucky to get her though, Gwen would make a *wonderful* companion.

I really did intend this to be pure crack!fic, but from the comments, I'm starting to think that it got away from me a bit. Gwen and the Doctor would get on famously, since we know they have similar taste is footwear.

Of course real!Jack would be gutted to see Gwen leave, but this is supposed to "fluffy domestic J/I" and the people who believe in that don't like to acknowledge how important Gwen is to Jack emotionally, much less otherwise.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I guess I just wasn't expecting a crack fic to hit me in the gut with such a painfully tormented, torn apart Gwen. Maybe if you relabelled it as a parody of Gwen-bashing? As you say, that would also account for the OOC Jack.

I thought the "Summary" kind of made it clear that I meant to have tongue in cheek, as well as marking it AU/Crackfic.

Is it possible I'm giving readers too much credit? Not being snarky. I'd genuinely like to know the best way to label this when I do the cross-posting. I want people to read it, but I don't want to give the game away.
