Stump the Writer meme and asked for a House Drabble with the pairing of your choice and the prompt of Ice-Cream. It got a little bigger than a drabble. Thanks to

Stacy didn’t know what was more shocking, the mess an infant could make out of one bowl of chocolate ice cream, or how calm Lisa appeared as Joy came closer to appearing in total blackface.
There’d been as much reason for her to stay away from Lisa, as from Greg, even if Mark only knew about the latter, but they’d been friends first, so when the call came, Stacy made the trip to Princeton for the first time in three years.
“She’s beautiful,” Stacy said, because it was the thing that a friend would say. She’d never felt terribly moved by the sight of children or felt the longing for any of her own, but she had to admit, perhaps a bit reluctantly, that she’d never seen Lisa quite so happy.
“I know.”
Stacy was still trying to process the idea of this Lisa, so different from the woman she’d known and loved for nearly twenty years. That Lisa was ambitious, slightly manic, and a bit of a neat-freak. Back in their dorm, Stacy’s ashtrays and dirty laundry had been a source of friction. Now Lisa was tending to the chocolate disaster with a damp cloth at an unhurried pace, cooing love at the perpetrator.
She couldn’t help but wonder how a certain self-absorbed bastard was reacting to this change in Lisa’s life and therefore his own.
“How’s Greg taking it?”
There was something in Lisa smile that surprised Stacy with its hint of anger, before she shook her head.
“It doesn’t matter. You know what? If he’s not in my face, I don’t even think about him.”
“Really?” She asked, trying not to sound jealous of Lisa for having a life that was no longer dominated by thoughts of Greg House.
Having a baby might be worth it after all.
