Mondegreens forever!

My favorite is that for YEARS I thought Bruce Springsteen was telling Wendy to "strap your hands cross my inches" which left me with some very odd imagery about how she was riding that motorcycle.

I'm curious, did you actually watch General Hospital then or just heard about the scene?

I wasn't watching at the time the scene happened, although I was watching during the later fall-out when AJ was trying to be a good father and Carly was being an unholy bitch to him. (Or maybe my Carly impregnation time-line is screwed up.)

I mostly heard about it when I was following the message boards about five years ago. Let me say that absolutely NOTHING I've seen or experienced during the various snits and shipwars regarding TW, comes even close to the kind of hatred and vitriol expressed by Soap Opera fans in their forums.

I think the discussions of Sonny/Carly were the first time I heard the phrase hate!sex and I latched onto it immediately.

I watched GH on and off for years (more than I'd care to admit to) and other soaps as well. My first forays online were on soap boards. Oh boy the shipwars and backstabbing and chaos.... *phew*

Carly/AJ was previous to this hate!sex. They had Michael and Carly/Sonny resulted in baby Morgan, her second child. (The amount of soap canon in my head is scary.)
