Really enjoyed this!

I like how Jack seems so much like a regular guy in this--just bitterly wanking--just himself and his regrets.

Then, the promise of the open future.

Of course. This is why I say that RTD is no longer giving us Real!Jack, but servicing the J/I fanbase and his own Mary Sue fantasies. CLEARLY this is what Jack would think and do.
