I had no idea there was a Richard E. Grant/Who connection. That's like even more icing on a fabulously wonderful cake. He's also prominent in one of the fandoms I wrote for Yuletide. I think I've loved him ever since Henry & June, although I'm probably one of the few people I know in fandom who isn't 100% in love with Withnail & I.
But the Burn thing just blew me away. Literally looking at the screen and then at hubby "OMG, is that Burn Gorman?" I just had no idea.
It's rather good but very often overlooked. And sad to say I know very little of Richard E Grant. I loved him in the Scarlet Pimpernel and he is very charismatic. I think I have seen Withnail and I once, but I honestly couldn't recall any of the plot anymore, much less a critique.
It's nice when stuff like that happens, though, isn't it? Like life is giving you a tiny little freebie.
