Medical Facility #5
For those of you scoring at home (or even those who are alone.)

At least we're back in the City, out in the avenues.
It's a much nicer nursing home, so I won't designate it Nursing Home Hell #2, although there was still a noisy TV situation in the bed next door last night, until I made the usual complaint and things were turned down. I would have tried to be nice, but the sound of Fred Thompson saying that George W. Bush had "kept us safe from terrorists" was way too vomit-inducing to be tolerated. We were able to watch the Eureka Marathan until he dozed off at about 10-ish.
Things are improving. They've given him a stabilizer for the upper body which is alleviating some of that pain and he was able to move his leg up and down yesterday without screaming. I think at this point it's just recovery time. No idea when they'll decide he can come home, but I'm thinking weeks if not months. On the other hand, it's still being paid for by Kaiser so the kick-out could come sooner than expected.
I really need to get my ass in gear about waking up and getting to work on time, but I don't know how to break out of my current torpor.
