Binge-watching, shipping, all UK Telly, All The Time

Doctor Who-Finished The Flux. It wasn’t terrible and I stand by my John Bishop love. I would ship Dan and Jack like crazy if I thought there was a Hope in hell of getting my original JB on the same soundstage,or even in the same quarry. Hell, i might write it anyway. Bye-bye Chibnall. Come home RTD, all is forgiven.
Still need to watch the three Tenant eps. And I’ll always, always ship 10/Jack.

Binge-watching Agatha Raisin. The plots are very repetitive, but I love the found family dynamic and the quirky characters. You go, Mrs. Boggle! I’m completely Team Agatha/Charles. James is a passive-aggressive dweeb. Charles is much hotter. The actors have chemistry for days. Also, I find Jamie Glover to be indistinguishable from Jamie Bamber and I have little use for either.

Finished Taskmaster Series 16. Absolutely brilliant!!! I genuinely loved everybody and thought it was a zillion times better than 15. Lucy was an absolute delight. Maybe I’m just a sucker for a Yorkshire accent. Can we have Maisie Adams, please? In series 15, I found Mae completely charmless and Ivo’s neediness became genuinely painful. Plus the tasks just weren’t that fun to watch. I was worried that love affair was over, but this series was a return to form. I’m psyched for New Year’s Treat and Champion of Champions. Rooting for Dara 100%.

The Crown-Series 6-Part 1. Watched all four episodes the night before my colonoscopy and it was the perfect soap opera distraction. Interesting how Peter Morgan basically retreaded the same territory as “The Queen.” (Can we lose the bloody dead stag thing, already.) Keeping in mind I’m still 100 million, billion percent Team Charles/Camilla, both on the show and IRL. Diana’s suffering is real, but so self-inflicted.

Bertie Carvel is no Michael Sheen, who is the gold standard for playing Tony Blair as much as William Devane is for JFK. (What they were thinking with Michael C. Hall is still beyond me.)

I just keep wanting to hug Charles and tell him to hang in there. God, I love Dominic West. I might be ready to tackle that last season of The Wire.
