So this morning I had my 2nd interview....
For the job I really, really, really want.
It was another phone interview. I think I did ok. My interviewer say, "Good. That's a good answer" several times, and aside from one near the end, I had what I thought were well thought out responses.
I might have come across a bit desperate, but I wasn't going to hide that I really want the job. I doubt I could have played hard to get for this one, or if it would be appropriate.
I asked what the next step was and was told someone would reach out to me in the next few days. One thing I will say for this company: their HR department has been consistently responsive, well-informed and patient with me, so I believe that I will hear from someone. Whether that will be to schedule and in-person interview or to say, "Sorry" remains to be seen.
If I don't get this one, I have to up my search criteria or think of something else, because I am seriously hanging on by a thread. Today I got chewed out because there was construction going on at a hotel, which I'd had no idea about, and the front desk agent LIED to my client and told him that I'd been advised.
Not to mention an especially venal, snotty, wench of a new admin who is really trying to make her bones with her attorney, by consistently trying to trip us up and make the agency look bad.
