Nice look into Annie's thoughts... She obviously can hear Sam and Gene in her head, just as we do! :-)

I can't imagine her first thought after Sam dropped that bomb. But it seems that she's quite adaptive. So although she thinks she'd never be able to imagine Gene naked or be seen by him in the same state, maybe it's something she secretly has been hoping for for a long time.

In any case, if I were Annie, I know I'd made the same decision. ;-)

Thank you! I worked really hard not to have Annie immediately turn into a slash fangirl which is a trope I've seen in a LOT of OT3 fics and while it might be plausible for example with Elizabeth Burke in White Collar, I think it would be considerable less so for Annie Cartwright, who is more open-minded, but still very much a woman of 1973.

I wanted it to be something she had to work toward rather than a no-brainer.

Annie, Annie, Annie. ♥ I am so enamoured with her all over again through your writing. I really like that Sam gave her a nightgown which she still wears, and I like her unwillingness to even think about certain things at first. Not only is this very sexy, it's a fantastic look at her psyche, too.

Thank you! I love Annie and I wanted to give her the chance to make this decision for herself, but also to give her some reality for her time and place. There's been a tendency in both slash and OT3 fic in lots of fandoms to make the female characters instantly embrace the idea of m/m as hot. Not every female character is instantly going to be a slash-writing fan girl.

Oh, I really appreciate this, after reading the honeymoon piece! Bravo for all the thinky thinking; Annie so would analyse it like that.

Thanks so much! Glad you liked. I haven't written a lot of Annie POV, so it was also a challenge for me to get inside her head.

I like this. It feels very real. I like the fact that Annie has to really think about it to believe it, because god, yes, it would be hard to imagine, I'd think!

Very hot, too. :-)

(P.S. Typo: the same one she like (LIKED?) to wear)

Thanks again. Worst Merry Month ever for typos that's for sure.

I worked very hard to make this one feel real. I'm a little sick of the trope where the woman immediately turns into a drooling slash fangirl as soon as she finds out about the two men. I can see it in some fandoms, but I think Annie's reaction would be a bit more practical, so I hope I caught that here.
