Some stuff I've been on watching DVR and DVD lately.

Whitechapel-Poor Rupert! His character is getting the full early Jane Tennyson treatment AND giving me a definite whiff of Sam Tyler dealing with the rabble in Life on Mars. The whole thing is full of "Hey, it's that guy" actors, a lot of whom have Who appearances to the their credit. I've actually been on the Jack the Ripper tour a few times, so I love that aspect.

Case Histories-It's so weird seeing Jason Isaacs looking like THIS instead of This. Really loving all the Edinburgh settings the usual batch of familiar faces. DUDE! The Sheriff of Nottingham. :)

Leverage-Started the first season on DVD. So far, so good, although it owes a LOT to Hustle. At least so far no one is quite as annoying as Danny Blue (much as I love Marc Warren.) It's really bizarre to see Gina Bellman as ANYONE but Jane from Coupling. (I'm still waiting for the Sock Puppet to come out.)

Castle-Started the first season on DVD-Cute. And nice to see Nathan Fillion free from the darkness of the Joss-verse. (I feel the same way about David Boreanz. I always think that as bad as Bones can get from time to time, he must always be happy NOT to have to do the broody vampire thing anymore.)

NCIS-Thirst-If I didn't know better, I'd think someone wrote this episode specifically to set up a slew of hurt/comfort fic, and boy did it work. I'm pretty sure Bellisario doesn't play those games, except maybe maybe with the Tony/Ziva people, but seriously...I mean did anybody NOT see where the ep was going and what kind of fic it would produce? Sheesh. It's one of those things that makes me want to write something extremely contrary and subversive just to buck the trend.

castle, leverage, ncis
