Inara watched her visitor closely, looking for any signs of discomfort or disapproval. She needed something from him, but wasn’t prepared to sacrifice her own dignity.
“How can I help you Miss Serra? You don’t adhere to the spiritual principles of my order.”
“No, but Kaylee does. “
A man could make heavy coin with a poker face like that.
“You and Miss Frye….?”
She nodded.
“I need to know that you won't make her feel like a sinner.”
She waited, hoping she hadn’t betrayed Kaylee for nothing.
“If there’s love, then there’s no sin.”
