Title: Sartorial Splendour
Fandom: Doctor Who
Character: Ninth Doctor
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 100
Notes: Drabble-a-Day 2011. Day 287. Prompt from dw100. Challenge #371-Armor. Unbeta'd. Comments and concrit welcome.
Summary: Sometimes the clothes do not make the man.

The Doctor needed new clothes.

He’d fought the Time War naked, except for the armour of his own self-righteousness. The TARDIS hadn’t seemed to mind; somehow the ship was kept at a constantly comfortable temperature. It was only when the Daleks had been vanquished that he realised it was time to be among people again, specifically humans, with their nudity taboos.

No silks, brocades or mad scarves. Even his old cricket whites made him shake his head. A black leather coat suited him now. With a jumper and trousers of course.

He didn’t want to shock the humans too much.
