Summary: The Doctor faces an unpleasant fact.
This time was different; he was different.
It was hardly his first regeneration and certainly not the first time he’d had tender feelings for a companion, even two of them.
He’d chosen to hold himself back from Rose in spite of how much it hurt. Why put them both in an impossible situation? It was Captain Jack Harkness who forced him to face the truth. The Doctor wasn’t completely immune to Jack’s allure and clearly neither was Rose. He could imagine them together all too vividly.
That’s when he realised just how different he was.
He’d never been jealous before.
