Summary: The Doctor wakes up.
It took some time for the Doctor to see what was right in front of him.
In his defence, he’d been busy wondering precisely what game the Time Lords were playing with him. Eventually, he realised that Jo was being oddly quiet.
Perhaps she missed being a Princess; the imperiousness had suited her, as had the royal garb. The Doctor appreciated a fine silk, especially one in a vibrant crimson hue. Only after Peladon, did he admit to himself how much he liked to see Jo wearing it.
She really was a lovely girl.
Why had he never noticed before?
