Now that's one grest birthday present! Going all the way back into the post-infarction period, so IC it hurts, and totally slashy. Self-fanning decidedly needed.
Possibly OT: should there be a comma after morale? I am not sure, but can't help wondering.
More OT: during my SF stay I finally bought a copy of Eats, Shoots and Leaves, the Bible of the punctuation sticklers.

Comma issues indeed. Originally that was part of a longer clause which needed to be set off by commas. I'll take the comma out and see if it looks prettier.

I love post-infarction SO MUCH! It was probably both the best and worst time of the relationship and most of what we see in the series got established during that period rather than the whole "New Orleans" thing.
