You're so cute together! I can't wait until I get too meet you, hear you sing and compare my glasses with yours for the Big Dioptre Challenge. Of course had I been doing this meme I would have put a picture of my school because my school is handsomer than yours, whatever yours is :).
That icon is way too cute. I had to google my school's name, I don't have any pictures from when I attended so many years ago. According to wikipedia, the palace was built in 1562-1564 by Giorgio Vasari, so it better be handsome. The school is only two centuries old, though.
Your Icons Are Too Cute. Again. Your hair is gorgeous and makes me incredibly envious. FYI, the chemicals less-fortunate mortals use to get curls stink like hell and make the scalp itch. And the curls still last less than a month.
And yet on hair day, Sebastian likes to use the flat-iron to give me straight hair, which gives me the Ann-Margaret look. At least till a drop of water touches it.
Nice choice of school indeed, had my last graduation there and it's truly a fucking gorgeous place. They gave us strawberry tarts and champagne after the ceremony too, and you'd have loved the enforced singing beforehand. *g*
Gorgeous school, wonderful city, fabulous country. If I ever get back, I will definitely spend more time in Glasgow. I know it's taking FOREVER to get the trip notes posted, but I am almost up to my day in Glasgow when this picture was taken.
OH NOES, enforced singing. Oh, the humanity! Was it perchance, "Flower of Scotland?"
Truly one of the bestest cities in the world, imho. The two years I lived in Glasgow were a couple of the best of my life to date. *happy sigh*
LOL, the enforced singing was hilarious. It was led by the uni's choir master or some such elder Scotsman who first taught us the words of the school's song line-by-line - in Latin, mind - before making us practice it all together twice over before singing it during the graduation itself. By "us" I mean graduates and all the family and friends attending. Like I said, hilarious. Looking back, I think only an older Scottish gentleman could have roused that level of enthusiasm over singing a medieval Latin song. *g*
Curiosity got the better of me - sure enough, it was the "Gaudeamus igitur" we sang at graduation - it's a popular graduation hymn throughout Europe but delightfully bawdy in translation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Brevitate_Vitae
We were meeting the_summoning_d there and she told us it was a "building that looked like Hogwarts." Which is true, although that seems to be the case for practically every major building in Scotland.
