Another Couples Meme

Aug 01, 2011 11:04

Welcoming LJ back from our week of travail with a meme ganked from speccygeekgrrl.

Give me a pairing (one that I know!) and I will tell you:

1. What they most commonly do during sex
2. Who has prettier hair
3. What they argue about most often
4. Who'd cope best if the other one died
5. The happiest plausible happily-ever-after I can think of for them.

Jim and Artie. Or, if that's too jejeune, Ian and Radhi.

1. What they most commonly do during sex
Anal sex, Jim usually tops, especially when Artie's in drag.

2. Who has prettier hair
Jim (except when Artie's in drag and has a wig.)

3. What they argue about most often
What Artie perceives as Jim's recklessness. (He's afraid of losing him, but can't admit it.)

4. Who'd cope best if the other one died
Jim. While I believe they love each other, I'm currently of the opinion that Artie is way more emotionally involved. He's known a lot of pain and abandonment in his life and Jim West is pretty much his world now. For Jim...he'd move on. Pretty quickly.

5. The happiest plausible happily-ever-after I can think of for them.
Staying on the train until Artie has to retire from the service for health reasons. Jim would stay in the service longer, but come back to visit. It wouldn't be perfect, but good enough until Artie passes on.

All plausible. #5...I think of how young Ross Martin was when he passed, and it makes me sad.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Ross Martin passing away at 61.

Oh? I admit, I didn't check IMDb; somehow, I had it in my head that he was younger, 40-something.

I think it comes from the fact (just a guess here) that it took him awhile as an actor before he achieved success, so he wasn't actively famous for as long before he passed away. Whereas Robert Conrad came to Hollywood young and was a star in Hawaiian Eye almost immediately.

True. The only other RM credit that comes to mind is "Experiment in Terror".

RC hasn't done anything in a while...he's earned his retirement, but I sure do miss him.

Must've blinked and missed it.

Btw, have you seen BBC American adverts for "The Hour"? It features Burn Gorman, another lovely short guy--!

Nope! Thanks for the heads up! Seeing Burn in Oliver was one of best things I've ever done. He's really amazing actor and deserves as much recognition as possible.
