Slipstream Halloween Professor Princess Deco WIP
This is why I have not been replying to anyone.
I got a suggestion from someone on formspring in response to one of Trix's questions, that she could be Professor Princess for Halloween, and I liked the idea, because it's kinda ridiculous. But Slipstream is from the Moon, and she will punish you, so...
I still need to work-out the mask-wig-crown area. Looking for screen caps to cut the wig. The boots are just how I want them, but the body armor was really difficult to re-color because the original violet was just so dark. The wings are intended to match the lighter pink wig color. I think the red detailing looks nice, but I'm not sure guns go with the costume, though, I'm not sure the character would part with her guns just for a costume party. Also not sure if the brands should be replaced with red-trimmed black hearts, for similar reason. And she wants a pony. I can cut Powdered Sugar from my screen caps, but it might be funnier if she had another MLP, like Starsong. (Twilight Sparkle doesn't fly, right?? Otherwise that might also be a good one.)
Probably someone is going to tell me there was already Ai-compatible line art of her animation model floating around. The original I had was too poor quality an image to trace with my level of skills. (Also, tablet I had doesn't work with laptop. Excuses, excuses.)
The second is still WIP, but shows I started to work on the helm and neck area in preparation for the crown and wig. I had some computer troubles and can't run Photoshop right now, so further progress is delayed. I was able to open the psd in GIMP to save this downsized png to show progress, but I can't really edit well with this software on my netbook. Also, some of the colors (the canopy glass is not displaying as when I had it open in Ps) might be off, due to how GIMP interpreted layers, resized and saved, or my not being experienced using it.
This third image is the completed version. I got Photoshop repaired on my old Desktop and was able to get the Penny screencap and the Starsong MLP image to finish Slipstream's costume.
