Narratively and thematically it's an in-between the Coen Brothers and Snatch. Surprise, surprise! Because Snatch was produced by Director Matthew Vaughn, also of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels fame and - sort of/not really weirdly - Stardust. He's the reason why half this movie looks like amazing still photography.
I could make comments about how much I love the OST (STARSAILOR) asjklfjal and go on about dialects of English and how they make my head spin around in happy circles, but then I COULD PICSPAM LIKE THE SHALLOW, SHALLOW PERSON I AM RIGHT NOW:
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Daniel Craig. He's not James Bond. You won't believe it the first sixty seconds of the crooning narration in your ear, but you will when he says And avoid -- like the fucking plague -- loud, attention-seeking wannabe gangsters in it for the glory, to be a face, to be a name. They don't mean to fuck up. They just do.
Tom Hardy as Clarkie. If I had words I would actually be writing them here, but I don't have words, I only have staring.
Colm Meany. Hold the Star Trek, tune up the gangster.
The gentleman on the right is George Harris, whom you may know as, uh, Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Michael Gambon has a corner on the Top Gear track named after him because he almost killed himself and the Reasonably Price Car going over it. DO YOU NEED MORE?
