Seattle Traffic
The traffic reports in and around Seattle are entertaining. Well, entertaining if you don't have to commute. It seems that almost every single day you hear "405 is a parking lot . . . 520 isn't much better across the bridge - it's backed up to 108th . . . 90 across the water is better than 520 but still nothing to shout about." or some similar dismal report. You know you're in big trouble when the commuter lanes are reported as clogged. This, of course, is only funny because I'm not in it.
Today there was a big accident that CLOSED 1-5. My boss called to have me see what had gone on. She called back 45 minutes later and hadn't even made it to the next exit. Boo hiss. But hey, that meant she didn't come back to work. :)
