Dear Camille: 25 Weeks
Dear Camille,
Well, I am super-late on your note this week. I think I'll just catch you up on everything next week, because it still just feels weird to talk (or write) about anything normal. It's been a pretty hard week for our family. Your Aunt Nicki, or as you would have known her, your "Mia", passed away on Sunday night. She had been sick for many months, and we all hoped that she would get better. I'm so sorry that she didn't. You would have loved her, and she would have loved you. She was so excited for a new little girl to be added to the family! On top of the sadness that we all feel from having to say goodbye to her too soon, it really breaks my heart that you two didn't get to meet.
With our family, though, you'll be sure to know her. You will have keepsakes, and you'll see videos and pictures, and you WILL hear stories. There will surely be no shortage of those!
Though I'm not sure any of us will be able to tell them as well as she would have.
