Taking walks around the neighborhood with Aunt Lindsay and Penny is obviously making an impression on Aidan. Shortly after he got his Angry Bird in Oklahoma, he was making it sniff all over the place. I asked him, "What is Angry Bird doing?" and he answered, "He's just sniffing around! Looking for a place to tee-tee."
Then one day he was taking a walk around the block with Aunt Lindsay and Penny, and at one point he fell behind, and when Lindsay turned to check on him, he was nonchalantly squatting down in the grass. She asked what he was doing, and he said, "Oh, I'm just doing my business!" Totally casual, like he might as well have said, "Oh, I'm just pulling up my sock."
No one is entirely sure if he knows that doing business = peeing. He has never referred to "doing his business" in any other context aside from squatting in the grass; never on the toilet or even peeing in the backyard (yes, he pees in the back yard, he is a boy). I don't even know if he knows that Penny is peeing when she squats in the grass and does her business. Hee.
