Realization Dawns

Another fortnight has gone by at AlterniaComics.com. Five long-form stories updated, followed by five short works of fiction. In getting ready for the next round, I realized I have to have the next chapter of Colony Beta written by midnight Monday morning (the midnight between Sunday and Monday).

I have no idea what will go on in the next chapter. Will Kevin join up with Jen and Paul in the Library? Will any authority figures actually come looking for the kids who wandered away in the middle of the school day? Maybe it'll be another page or two from Jack Marten's journal, maybe something more about the politics of the colony.

Then I thought about the other long-form story I'm responsible for posting: Optinomicon. Currently I'm just posting chapters I've already written (and read for podcast), but before too much longer I'll have to write a new chapter for that every two weeks as well.

By that time, we will have probably plumbed the depths of the Alternia Comics LiveJournal pages, the current story archive, so in addition to two long-form works, I'll be writing between two and five short works every two weeks.

This is suddenly seeming like a large workload, especially if I'm going to be running a book store at the same time. And especially since Alternia Comics isn't an income source currently. Fortunately, it's also not a drain (except on time) since it's being hosted for free with GeekGene.

Any writers out there want to write for AlterniaComics.com?
