I woke up early this morning. Last year for Free Comic Book Day I was in Seattle because
studiofoglio was at a shop in Seattle.
duaiwe and I got a late start and I missed out on picking up the Atomic Robot / Neozoic free issue published by Red5. This year I didn't want to repeat that mistake.
I was out the door before 8:30 AM to visit two local comic shops. It was then I found out they both opened at 11AM on Saturdays and today was apparently no exception.
Defeated, I went back home to wait it out.
At 11, I went to an independent store first, because I wanted to support them. They didn't have the free Atomic Robo issue because he didn't order the full spread. Annoying, but understandable. I then went to the local Mile High Comics shop. They *did* have the issue I was looking for, as well as a great sale for Free Comic Book Day: Buy one Trade Paper Back, get one free. Buy one new issue, get one free. This is in addition to their normal sale of 20% off Marvel/DC trades, 10% off other publishers' trades.
